XLPE insulated power cable has the advantage of not only high mechanical strength , good ambient stress resistance, good electrical properties and anti-chemical corrosion, but also simple construction, light weight and convenient to use. It applies to electrical power transmission and distribution lines with A.C rated voltage Uo/u up to and including 25/36kv.
The main features of the flames retardant XLPE Power cable is hard to catch on fire or than the continuous burning of cables is very limited when it is on fire, It applies to the places with many cables laid highly together such as power generated station, subway, tunnel, high story building. Large sized factory and mines, oil field and coal mine.
Fireproof cable can operate nominally for some time when it is burning except that it can transmit electrical power under nominal condition. It is used in the places such as nuclear plant , tunnel, high story building and other places concerning to fire security and its lifesaving.
Flame retardant cable should only follow the above standards, but also, its flame retardant performance should be devided into 3 types of A/B/C and four grades of I, II, III, IV as prescribed In GA306.1-2001standard. The A type is the best, user can choose it according to the specific need.
